Melanie Reese holds a Bachelor’s in Communication with an emphasis in Education from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Master of Arts in Teaching (K–6) from Austin Peay State University.

Melanie Reese is excited to be teaching at Big Sky PK-8! She has over thirteen years of experience teaching kindergarten. Melanie thoroughly enjoys working with children and finds great joy in helping young learners grow and succeed in a structured and loving environment. She is the proud mom of two boys – one who is nineteen and attends CU Boulder, majoring in Integrative Physiology as he pursues a career in physical therapy, and another who is five and attends school alongside her.

She looks forward to a wonderful school year and is committed to positively impacting student achievement by making learning both authentic and fun. Melanie is proud to serve the Mead community and encourages open communication with families.

Outside of school, she enjoys running, playing her guitar and singing with her husband, and spending time with her family and border collie, Bronco.
