Maryanne Dempsey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences with a Minor in Psychology from Bethany University and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Montana State University.

Mrs. Dempsey is a passionate upper grades elementary school teacher at Big Sky PK-8 who strives to create a classroom where every student feels valued, supported, and inspired to do their best. With nine years of experience, she brings warmth, structure, and creativity to her teaching.

She believes learning happens best in an environment rooted in curiosity, collaboration, and kindness, helping students build confidence and recognize that growth comes from effort and perseverance. Being a lifelong learner is also very important to her, and she continually looks for ways to grow and better serve her students. Mrs. Dempsey values the strong relationships she’s built with students and families in the community and looks forward to continuing those connections as part of the Big Sky PK-8 team.

Outside of school, she enjoys coaching basketball, golfing, spending time with family, and being with her two dogs, Hopper and Brody.
